Relatively new to Crystal Reports and I've run in to a snag.
I want to set up a parameter with both a static and a dynamic component. Don't know if that's possible. Here's the reason I need it:
My database has a list of addresses for every location where employees have done any kind of work in my city. It also has a list of the different types of tasks performed by employees here at my work. For this report, let's say I'm only interested in the work task of "Pot Hole Filling". What I'd like to be able to do is have someone run the report and when the parameter pops up asking for inputs, the "Pot Hole Filling" parameter would already be selected and the "Address" parameter dropdown would be limited to only those addresses associated with Pot Hole Filling work.
I know it is only one more little step to have them select the work task of Pot Hole Filling, but the list of tasks is long and I don't want them to have to scroll through it looking for this task each time.
Is there a way to do this with parameters?
